Hurricane Alley

One of the cities that we tend to frequent as we journey around the country is Bossier City near Shreveport, Louisiana. After many trips to the area, we have developed a deep love for a few local attractions. The businesses in what is known as the East Bank Mafia are some of our absolute favorites! From the architecture and clean;iness, to the open container district that allows you to roam without leaving your drink behind… the East Bank Mafia has a slew of businesses sure to please every adult traveler.

Hurricane Alley

Hurricane Alley is the back patio of many bar’s dreams. Situated behind several local watering holes you find a slightly hidden patio oasis. Starting with picnic tables, high top tables, gas fire pits, corn hole, large dance area, and an ample stage with modern lighting and quality sound system… who could ask for anything more? Adding to the allure of the patio we find a large and clean standalone bathroom facility which also means no waiting in a long line to use the restroom while enjoying the free concerts that are hosted here most weekends.

BeauxJax Crafthouse

BeauxJax Crafthouse is almost always our first stop when we get to town. With their great selection of craft beer, fast and friendly service, and amazing food… we’d be rather heartbroken if we weren’t able to enjoy at least one meal at one of our favorite out of state restaurants! Plus, honestly, Bobert would start a revolution if we didn’t grab a bowl of their delicious gumbeaux. BeauxJax also has a great selection of t-shirts sure to make you smile!

Frozen Pirogue

Next door, you’ll find Frozen Pirogue. This bar has an incredible crab bisque that we crave as soon as our GPS says we’re heading to Louisiana. When added with their bottomless mimosas, the delicious oyster options, and the nice variety of frozen cocktails and you’ve got the recipe for a great date night! This location is only open in the evenings during the week, but they offer a great brunch menu on the weekends. Also, a fantastic frozen drink option called a Wishbone that is a huge glass of our favorite frozen daiquiri drinks for only $5!

Sugar Sheaux

The newest addition to the East Bank Mafia is Sugar Sheaux. While we haven’t given their bakery a try yet, we’ve eagerly watched as they transformed the space. Soon we will make it a point to grab dessert before we hit the road!

In closing, all of these awesome businesses are part of what is known as the East Bank Mafia. This are is a fantastic example of businesses working together to bring life to a city. Each time we’ve visited these locations, the restaurants are busy, and the bars are packed at night. Despite having a packed house, we must give recognition for their ability to maintain fast, friendly service no matter what time or day we’ve visited. All of these businesses can be found here! Be sure to tell them you heard about them from us!
