Who is DerDer?
Hi there! I’m DerDer and I’m one of the founders of Rest Stops and Runways. Wanderlust has always had a strong hold on me. Since meeting my husband, we have travelled together across most of the United States. I’m an artist and musician and love all things artistic. You’ll often find me at the local karaoke hot spot or a museum we’ve found. When I’m not making content for our followers, you’ll find me making art or researching new adventures from the passenger seat. Travel along with us as we document our adventures across America with reviews of the places we have gone, the products we use to make travel more enjoyable and plenty of funny tales from the dashboard.
Meet Bobert!
Hello world! My name is Bobert and I am also a founder of Rest Stops and Runways. I grew up travelling the world with my Air Force family, starting in Germany and eventually making my way to Georgia, and then Ohio. I have travelled the country both for work and for pleasure and I love sharing my stories from these adventures. When I’m not making content, you’ll find me in the garage working on my vintage Volkswagen collection, riding my Harley Davidson, singing my heart out at a karaoke bar, or browsing the local cigar shop for a quality smoke. Along with my wife DerDer, we look forward to both informing and entertaining you while we make our way around the country. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
A Dynamic Duo
Together we travel all across America both for work and for fun. We both work together in the aerospace industry for our day job, and that job takes us all across the nation. After a year of traveling together we decided it was time to share our adventures and experiences with the world. Our friends and family are fascinated by the locations we manage to find and the experiences we have shared. Initially we shared our journey on our social media, but we knew we had more to offer. Next up, we decided to share our adventures with the world! We’ve had made friends along the way, and had some experiences we’d like to forget. In spite of that, we always find a way to have some fun and make each day an adventure!
